Is your birthday approaching? Are you struggling to think of gift ideas for friends and family?
If so, have you ever considered asking for charity donations to be made to Rosie’s Trust instead of birthday gifts?
This is a wonderful way to celebrate your special day while making a positive impact on the lives of our beneficiaries and their pets.
By redirecting the focus from material gifts to charitable giving, you can make a huge contribution to the work of Rosie’s Trust and create a ripple effect of kindness and generosity.
Your birthday becomes a platform to raise awareness and funds for Rosie’s Trust, helping make sure we can continue to provide our vital services keeping people and their pets together. It’s a fantastic opportunity to start conversations about our work and make new connections to Rosie’s Trust.
You might inspire others to consider volunteering for us, you might make people in need of support aware of our services, you might even encourage people to consider doing the same at their birthday.
Asking for charity donations instead of birthday gifts is also an environmentally friendly choice. It helps reduce the consumption of material goods and minimises waste and aligns with sustainable practices.
Our Trustee, Josephine Mallon recently asked friends and family to make donations to Rosie’s Trust instead of buying her gifts. We caught up with her to find out why she’d decided to do that;
“As a Trustee of Rosie’s Trust, I’m always on the lookout for alternative ways to support and this seemed like a really straightforward option. Like most people, I have everything I need and was struggling to think of suggestions for gifts beyond the usual toiletries, gift vouchers etc. I’m thrilled that so many family and friends got behind the idea and it really gave me a lovely feeling to hear how much was raised.”
To support Rosie’s Trust with a birthday fundraiser, you can simply send them our online donation link – or you can create a Justgiving page or Facebook fundraiser.
If donating via our donation link, then please ask your friends and family to comment with your name and Happy Birthday so we can let you know how much was raised.

By choosing to have a Birthday Fundraiser, you really can make a lasting impact and create a birthday celebration that truly makes a difference.
