Rosie’s Trust is Northern Ireland’s only charity that cares for people by caring for their pets.

We are seeking a new Director to lead our mission to ensure that people who are seriously ill or immobile, as a result of age or illness, can keep their companion pets by their side.

Rosie’s Trust is dedicated to helping cancer patients, people receiving end of life care or older people with mobility issues to hold on to their companion pets at a time when they need each other the most.

Rosie’s Trust is Northern Ireland’s only charity that cares for people by caring for their pets.

Cancer patients, people receiving end of life care and older people with mobility issues who live alone are often faced with a stark choice: to refuse medical treatment or to give up their companion pets, who may be their sole source of emotional support. Rosie’s Trust prevents people from having to make that terrible choice. Our team of 200 highly-trained volunteers care for our beneficiaries’ pets in their homes when they are no longer able to do so.

We're looking to welcome to the Board new Trustees with a background in either HR or law who understand the strong bond that can exist between people and their companion pets.

Over the Christmas period, demand for our services increased significantly, and we now urgently need more volunteers to help us continue supporting people when they need us most.

To celebrate a decade of caring for people by caring for their pets, Rosie’s Trust is encouraging everyone to get involved in a special anniversary-themed Rosie’s Ramble to raise vital funds.

Rosie’s Trust cares for people by caring for their pets 365 days a year, thanks to the dedication of over 250 volunteers. However, the office will be closed for non-urgent enquiries from Wednesday 24^th December – Monday 5^th January.

Northern Ireland’s only charity that cares for people by caring for their pets has received a generous donation of £8,204.02 following a festive afternoon tea fundraiser hosted at The Europa Hotel.  

Local charities, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke (NICHS) and Rosie’s Trust, have announced a new collaboration that aims to ensure every member of the family gets the support they need after a chest, heart or stroke diagnosis – even four legged ones.

Thanks to Hastings Hotels, Rosie’s Trust will be fundraising at Christmas party events throughout December at the Europa Hotel and Stormont Hotel.
