Could you offer a loving home to Oscar?

Rosie’s Trust is searching for a new owner for Oscar, a 8-year-old grey Shih Tzu, who is currently being cared for by a Rosie’s Trust Foster Carer volunteer.

**Update - Rosie’s Trust is not currently accepting any further adoption requests for Oscar. Thank-you to everyone who shared his story. An update on Oscar’s new home will be shared in due course.

After 18 months of support from Rosie’s Trust, Oscar’s owner, who had loved him since he was a pup, sadly passed away.

At the request of Oscar’s owner, the charity is now looking to find him a new home, as part of the support services provided to people undergoing cancer treatment, older people with mobility issues, and those receiving end of life care in Northern Ireland.

Oscar will remain in the care of a Rosie’s Trust Foster Carer volunteer until he has found his new owner.

When describing Oscar, Rosie’s Trust Development Officer, Laura Quinn, said:

“If you were to search ‘sweetheart’ online, there is every chance that Oscar’s face will appear as the top result.

“He is a lovely, fun little character, who loves going on a walk and thrives on getting lots of cuddles.

“Oscar hasn’t had much experience of being left alone at home, so it is important that his new owner has time to help him settle into his new environment properly.

“At Rosie’s Trust, we make a commitment to owners that we will find their pet a loving new home should they ask us to – and we are also there to support new owners in welcoming an additional family member into their home.”
