Sign-up for a 10k step challenge to celebrate 10 years of Rosie’s Trust

To celebrate a decade of caring for people by caring for their pets, Rosie’s Trust is encouraging everyone to get involved in a special anniversary-themed Rosie’s Ramble to raise vital funds.

This January, Rosie’s Trust is inviting supporters, and their four-legged friends, to commit to 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to raise much-needed funds for the charity’s support services, which keep people facing cancer treatment, mobility issues in older age, or end of life care together with their pets.

On the challenge, Nuala Muldoon, Fundraising Lead at Rosie’s Trust, said:

“At Rosie’s Trust, we’re encouraging everyone to get the New Year off to a great start by taking on our 10k step challenge in January.

“It’s a chance to get outdoors, make memories with your furry friend, and meet other walkers, runners and dog owners.

“We know that 10k steps a day isn’t achievable for everyone, whether it’s your own fitness levels or health, or your pet’s needs, so you can choose to aim for 10k steps a week, or whatever is realistic for you. Every step counts, and everyone is welcome.

“Let’s walk, ramble, roll or stroll our way through January together to finish our tenth anniversary celebrations on a high!”

Every fundraiser will receive a kit* with all they need to get started including:

• Rosie’s Ramble t-shirt and matching pet bandana

• Rosie’s Ramble finisher’s medal and matching pet tag/keyring

• Feel-good factor of supporting a local charity that cares for people by caring for their pets – while staying active!

Registration fee is £10 per participant. There is no minimum fundraising target, but Rosie’s Trust is encouraging fundraisers to raise as much as possible to help support the people and pets cared for by the charity. For more info on support services, visit here.
